The great French writer Victor Hugo once said, ?There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come.? His statement reflects the power of the abstract to influence the physical world. Whilst the rest of the animal kingdom has to adhere to the rule of ?survival of the fittest?, humanity has moved to the point where the most intelligent and knowledgeable are at the forefront of society.

[...] The people who are well educated are the people who are going to make the big changes in the world. Cardinal Newman commented on how good creates more good (Newman The Idea of a University). Education is much the same mold. People who are well educated can see the problems around them and possess the skills to fix those problems. Those who possess education can influence others to also become more educated and create a positive domino effect of sorts. [...]
