Journaling is a phenomenal tool to utilize as a writer when creating, thinking and learning new processes. Attaining the ability to think and write freely allows a research scientist the opportunity to develop and understand the complete criteria of qualitative analysis. A writer must develop the ability to critique themselves and grow under the watchful eye of their instructors and peers without the negative internal objections towards themselves.

Creating the pathway for a process to work starts with the ability to understand information; bringing together the value of a specified source of information through research and results coupled with a passion for the information. My journal writings begin with relaxation techniques, writing about my thoughts and personal beliefs seemed to come very easy to me; I was not able to really drill down on a certain area of research until the second day.

Over my entire education the ability to trust myself has been growing, the last 3 years have been where my ability to verbally speak on what is going through my mind has really come together through my education and the opportunity to use a journal. Transferring journaling into a qualitative way of tracking, researching and developing my theories has truly been exciting. [...]
