Danone was founded in 1919 in Spain and by consultant Isaac Carasso. This French multinational is headquartered in Paris, is listed on the Euronext Paris Stock Exchange in the CAC 40 index. Born after the first war, the report of several children suffering from intestinal disorders has allowed its founders to set up the first yoghurt by drawing on the research of Elie Metchnikoff of the Institut Pasteur.
