  1. SWAG investment is an acronym referring to Silver, Wine, Art & Gold
  2. They are becoming more popular lately because some analysts fear that the government would use the money machine to bail themselves out
  3. The great thing about SWAG assets is that they are utterly unrelated to stock markets, therefore if the latter plunges, SWAG won't move
  4. SWAG investments have some downsides too, especially art and wine

SWAG investment is an acronym referring to Silver, Wine, Art & Gold, four assets that have always been a spring of fertile investments. The goal of adding SWAG into one's portfolio is to diversify it from usual bonds and stocks, indeed stocks have never really been safe and bonds are not always profitable. In this mindset, SWAG investment allows you to get both performance and safety, because SWAG assets are always on scarcity, they are not abundant goods, so there will always be people looking for them hence their attractiveness. Unlike usual money you cannot press a button to get five more Van Gogh nor to open a new gold mine.
