The Second World War was the deadliest conflict that humanity has ever seen. After this horrible war people hoped to live in a world that was finally stable and peaceful but after 1945, the fear of a third world war emerged. The world was divided American bloc and the Soviet bloc, between capitalism and communism.
The rivalry between the two blocks had been going on for a while and now manifested itself into the cold war that lasted from 1945 to 1962.
