"The comrades must understand that if that can be tortuous path, independence and liberation of the Chinese people will be made and time is already near." These words were uttered by Mao Zedong in the summer of 1949 shortly before his accession to power. He had directed the course of action until his death in 1976. What are the features of Communist China fashioned by Mao? The issue is far from trivial, because it has had a significant impact in the immediate vicinity of China, and a resounding echo in the Western manner. The events of May 1968 were partly classified under the banner of Maoism, among others brandished by Serge July. If at the beginning of his reign, Mao was closely following the footsteps of the USSR in its Stalinist variant, it moved on when the communist orthodoxy had to chart its own course. Also, after studying how Communist China may appear as an avatar of the Soviet model (I), we will study the "Chinese way of communism" (II).
