In 1960, it had been 15 years since the Cold War began, and the world was divided between the two blocs that were led by the superpowers of USA and USSR. The Cold War began because these two superpowers had differing ideologies.
In the early 1960s, the U.S. seemed to be more powerful than the USSR but this power relationship was reversed 20 years later.
In this paper we will explore the crisis that led to the weakening of the American power in the years 1960 and 1970.
