The activation of employment policies consists of conditions of activity (work or training) and payment of the grant payable to an unemployed person. With the first labor market reforms in Denmark in January 1994, the unemployed has become an active and responsible person, and is entitled to a number of training and assistance programs, while being subjected to strict rules. How does Denmark score against other models of activation of employment policies? Ten years after its implementation in place, what conclusions can we draw from it?
