The clash of ideologies is inevitable: someday, someone is going to disagree with what you believe in. The question remains: where does the conflict get addressed, if it ever does? Do you decide that there is no point in understanding your differences? Do you enter a quarrel of epic proportions and argue incessantly for what you believe is right? If so, who decides which side wins? This is where the judicial system comes in.

[...] It is with Darrow grilling Bryan that the social issues surface. In essence, Darrow only succeeded in showing everyone in that courtroom in Dayton, Tennessee, that the bible is full of contradictions. The consequences of this interrogation did not effect the verdict the trial, but brought to light the conflict between the Bible and science. Why should creationism be allowed to be taught while evolution prohibited? Darrow was trying to show that neither can be taken as fact; if creationism can be taught in a public classroom, then so can evolution. [...]
