Taking pictures of children, irrespective of their age is a complex and a fascinating subject. It is a subject that is challenging as well as frustrating, both for the heart and imagination of the photographer. The results can be very amusing, rewarding, disappointing but never for a moment boring or dull. It is an inexhaustible subject. From the time of their birth, children are a favorite subject for the parents who adore taking their pictures. These have sentimental value for the family, with wedding photos occupying the second place.

At home, avoid flashguns, if possible, for they are a source of distraction. Take the child out in natural, bright light and shoot.
