Immune mechanisms are divided into two sets: - innate immunity, is ensured particularly by phagocytes which are immediately mobilized when a foreign molecule or cell in the body is detected. - Acquired immunity corresponds to mechanisms (secretion of antibody response of LT) which only become effective after an initial contact with the antigen. This contact triggers a complex response. Here we will clarify the mechanisms of acquired immunity and report their relationships with innate immunity.
