Under the Library tab is a vast amount tools to help students with many different areas of their studies. I will talk about those I have used previously and intend to explore more within the future of my experience at Axia. I have used the University Library to do research and have searched through all three of the databases available. I have also used the Center for Writing Excellence to evaluate my papers for spelling, grammar, APA style and plagiarism.

The library tutorials are the only ones I have used so far but I am sure there will be a time when I will need to use some of the others available. The Element K tutorials may come in handy for helping me with using Microsoft Office programs or some of the other desktop applications I may need to use in my chosen career.

There are many student labs that may come in handy. As I go through my courses, I may have questions and my facilitator may not be available to help. These labs are here to post questions and gets answers that may help me to gain a better understanding of the material, tools or procedures to complete my assignments.

[...] The consequences for plagiarism can be minimal to severe, depending on the situation. If the school feels that the indiscretion is severe enough they can expel the student. The school could also just fail the student for the course and make him or her retake it at their own expense, if the student is receiving grants to pay for his or her schooling that is. Citation is how you give credit to the author of the information that you are using that is not your own. [...]

[...] To improve these intelligences I have to move or rap while you learn; pace and recite, create ?living sculptures?, use ?mental walk? memory strategy, act out scripts of material, design games, move fingers under words while reading, reflect on personal meaning of information, study in quiet settings, visualize information/keep a journal, and imagine experiments according to key 2.2 (Carol Carter p. 44). Then I have two slightly under-developed intelligences; musical and naturalistic. These are the abilities to comprehend and create meaningful sound and recognize patterns and to understand features of the environment. [...]

[...] Time Management The first thing I do when trying to manage my time is to get organized. I make a master list of everything that needs to be done and when it has to be done. From there I can make a time line to figure out if I have scheduling conflicts and if I can rearrange my conflicting appointments and events or if I need to ask a friend or family to help me out. I always keep a paper copy of a planner as well as have one in my phone so that I can write down my schedule from my time line. [...]

[...] Personality and Learning Styles Of all the lessons, this section is the one that has help me out the most. After taking the Multiple Pathways and Personality assessments, (Carol Carter pp I discovered how well developed my multiple intelligences are and what kind of personality I have. This will be a key factor to help me throughout the rest of my schooling and perhaps the rest of my life. My strongest intelligence is interpersonal. This means I can relate to and understand other people by noticing their feelings, moods, and motivations according to key 2.1 (Carol Carter p. [...]
