The changing face of today's classroom has been linked to the direct correlation to a child's achievement. Since the late 1980's, nearly $5 billion more was spent annual on classroom technology (Foltos). This rise in funding positively displays the effect these new methods of teaching have on education as a whole. According to Larry Cuban in 2002, fewer than 20% of teachers used technology in the classroom and nearly half of all teachers didn't use it at all. Although, when the materials were used, they were not necessarily utilized to improve teaching or learning (Foltos).

By including this technological advancing agent in the classroom, students are learning much more than an educational curriculum, but a lifestyle that will envelope their lives in the future. [...] Often times, young children forget the details, with a homework program all the day's activities, assignments and announcements will be uploaded online for a parent to read through before working on the night's homework. Ultimately, this program will lead to more effective communication skills from the home to the classroom (and vice versa). This valuable information delivered from a teacher is guaranteed to be delivered to parents through this technological organizational program. This responsible and effectiveness means of communication will lead to more focused and serious students. [...]
